a fairly remote walk-in camp ground in a tall forest setting adjacent to a river, 230m from car park near Lorne in the Otways for those with hiking tents

ONLY for hikers, cyclists or campers who can carry their tent 230m down an emergency management gravel road - and back up again

this is in the Surf Coast / Central Fire District which may have different fire danger levels to areas south of Lorne

if the rating is Extreme, the region is likely to become a day of Total Fire Ban, if it is rated Catastrophic - you will be required to evacuate from the camp ground and forest areas
in addition, the National Parks have fire restrictions as well as the CFA's Fire Danger Period restrictions which usually apply from Nov-April.
