Manual focus lenses in GFX mount

legacy lenses

  • some Olympus OM system lenses provide sufficient image circle to cover this sensor size, for example most of those 85mm or more, most 50mm lenses and of course the shift lenses
    • Fotodiox make an adapter Olympus OM to Fuji GFX
  • Canon EF lenses:
    • Steel Canon EF - Fuji GF adapter has aperture control from camera, auto focus (with af lenses) and EXIF recording to file
    • Fotodiox Vizelex Cine ND Throttle Fusion Smart AF lens adapter
      • announced Jan 2020, integrated Fusion tech for using autofocus and other automated functions
      • built-in variable neutral density filter with 1 to 8 stops (ND2-256)
      • Firmware updates are delivered over micro USB
      • $US550
    • Techart Canon EF Lens to Fujifilm GFX Autofocus Adapter (EF-GFX) $US499 compatible with Sigma EF lenses and OIS
        • minimal vignetting with these lenses without any tilt-shift applied but there is slight barrel distortion that is easily corrected but the vignetting with shift is not automatically corrected by current image editors as the combination is not yet supported
        • seems to have issues with recording the correct EXIF data
        • Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8 tilt shift lens becomes eq. to a 71mm but you do get some minimal corner vignetting on full shift but probably and you can get away without cropping
        • Canon TS-E 45mm f/2.8 tilt shift lens becomes eq. to a 35.6mm but you do get some corner vignetting on full shift which may require cropping
        • Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L tilt shift lens becomes eq. to a 19mm and field of view makes it a better choice for interiors than the 17mm on these cameras while pano stitching works well to get wider if needed but you do get some corner vignetting on full shift which may require cropping
        • Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L tilt shift lens becomes eq. to a 13.5mm but you do get some corner vignetting on full shift but probably can get away without cropping and the angle of view becomes too wide for most interior shots as you need to get too close to furniture which causes distortion
