Introduction

Canon have indicated there will be two of these lenses introduced, one with defocus smoothing control (DS)

1st in the RF-Mount family to incorporate Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) Optics to reduce lateral CA (1st introduced with the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 L II USM lens]]

weather and dust-resistant construction and nice large lens hood
82mm filter; 9 aperture blades;
ring type USM motor (same as the RF 50mm f/1.2)
close focus 0.85m with focus limiter 1.5m to infinity

cat's eye bokeh circles towards the edges
seems to give excellent C-AF eye tracking with the Canon R at 5fps with subject walking towards camera
