Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens

introduction

a unique, wide aperture standard lens introduced in 2006 and replaced the CanonEF50mmf1.0 and providing more sharpness and contrast
it is one of the reasons to use a full frame camera rather than Micro Four Thirds system if you want this unique look
on Micro Four Thirds system:
- it gives 35mm eq. of 100mm f/1.2 but with 100mm f/2.4 depth of field (DOF)
- when used with 0.72x focal reducer gives 35mm eq. of 72mm f/0.86 lens with depth of field (DOF) of a 72mm f/1.7 lens
which 50mmm lens to buy?
- the 50mm f/1.2L gives shallowest depth of field (DOF) and nice bokeh but not sharp wide open and lots vignetting
- the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lenses is much cheaper, but bokeh is busyband lots vignetting
- perhaps the best compromise is the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art full frame lens as this is the sharpest but bokeh can be busy
