    • the NEXT version removed all Android and Linux code from the original versions which were 1st released in 2019 in Smart TVs.

    • devices MUST be using a camera or camera-like function at all times when powered on if it is to detect face recognition to unlock it
    • security cameras in public places as well as private retail areas now often have face recognition tech and alerting systems
      • this is used by some retailers to identify persons who may have had prior unwanted behaviours

    • most govts now have a red flagging style surveillance of internet, mobile phone and presumably radio traffic - ostensibly to risk manage potential terrorism threats and other serious illegal behaviours

  • even if phones are turned off, they can be configured by their operating system to send and receive data from other phones via Bluetooth LE, and then find a phone which is connected to the cloud - this would even allow operators to access the phones camera, microphone and GPS location data even when it is turned off.
