Best sheet reader options
- ideally you need at least 13“ diameter screen with a non-glossy display that can run specialised pdf sheet music reader software including apps like Mobile Sheets (available in Android, iOS and windows) which even allows using two tablets, side by side, using the connect-tablets option, plus a bluetooth foot switch to turn pages
- unfortunately most PDF readers like Adobe are annoying to use for sheet music - especially now when they insist on displaying stupid dialogs continuously like “would you like AI to summarise this for you”
- you don't need a lot of memory
- an Apple iPad Pro 1Tb with nano screen could do it but it is super expensive (1Tb is the smallest with a less glossy nano screen option)
- MS Surface Pro 3 is not a bad budget option if you can find a 2nd hand one
- Samsung Slate S10 can do it but it is expensive
- perhaps the best option is the Android-based TCL NXTPAPER 14 which has a nice e ink like screen, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 10,000mAh battery and comes in under $AU800
