NB. I don't sell cameras or lenses, prices here are just to help you plan your system and although accurate at writing may change.

Introduction:

• nearly all Hexanon AR lenses have a 55mm filter thread (see the 6 exceptions below)

• with minor modifications these lenses will fit directly onto the Olympus dSLRs (but with 2x crop factor, ie. a 50mm becomes 100mm in angle of view)

  • these lenses do not need an adapter but they do need significant conversion - personally, I could not be bothered.

  • unscrew the back plate (3 screws) and lift back plate off
  • unscrew aperture coupling pin (2 screws)
  • optionally, re-attach back plate but if you do this lens cannot be used on a Konica again.
  • without interfering with pin on camera mount, add 2.5-3mm thick material to outer ring of lens mount by either:
    • attaching 3 pieces of self-adhesive felt pads, or,
    • attach a O-ring made of 2 pieces of circular rings of cardboard glued together with 59mm outer diameter and 55mm inner diameter (test thickness and make cutouts for aperture protuberation so it can move freely and a place for the camera mount lock pin to lock BEFORE gluing to lens mount)
    • optionally, create a light baffle to improve contrast and reduce lens flare using a ring of black cardboard with an inner diameter of ~18mm depending on focal length of lens being used.
