- Inception:
- "bright idea" for a project
- users to develop & document in broad terms:
- business context
- business process
- business objects
- business rules
- determine approximate costings
- how it would be funded
- time lines required/feasable
- outcome criteria
- finally develop business case for project based
on costings and returns which will determine
whether it should proceed.
- Elaboration:
- develop a working architecture or framework for
program construction
- Construction:
- write program to alpha test working solution
- Transition:
- beta test
- user help/documentation
- final operational software
- assess success based on original outcome criteria
