introduction
- a much loved wide angle zoom for Olympus Four Thirds dSLR system, particularly optimised for event photography, but the newer Olympus ZD 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 SWD zoom lens has largely replaced it given its longer zoom range.
- practically diffraction-limited optics with some CA but better than Canon 24-70mm L lens

-
- 0.34% barrel distortion increasing to 2.64% at 11mm
- no CA visible to the eye
- edge-to-edge optically best 16mm at f/5.6, worst at 11mm
- center is sharp wide open, but a touch better ar f/4
