- introduced in 2011 as a budget version of the Olympus E-PL3 PEN (EPL3), and compared to previous Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras:
- at last Olympus broke the speed barriers for autofocus and this 2011 series of cameras all boasted “FAST AF” technology which was even faster than dSLRs when used on stationery high contrast subjects - still very poor for moving subjects or tracking subjects
