very nice 1080p HD video in 2.7x crop mode
unfortunately the full frame 1080p HD video resolution is terrible
- the Nikon D800 dSLR has much better 1080p HD video resolution than either the Nikon D4 or Canon 5D Mark III dSLR - both of which seem to have 720p resolution for their full frame 1080p HD video mode, although the D4 does have true 1080p resolution when used in 2.7x crop mode.¹⁾
