Introduction

  • nice gently sloping, slashed grass, forested (Yellow Stringybark and white trunked Mountain Grey Gums), relatively large camp site in a relative rain shadow region
  • 4km gravel road but 2WD accessible
  • one drop toilet at end of the day area
  • swampy waterhole just beyond the day area
  • day area section picnic table and firepit are bollarded
  • plenty of shady spots
  • accessible by caravans in good weather.
  • King parrots, gang-gang parrots, rosellas, cockatoos and kookaburras are common. Echidnas, koalas, kangaroos, wombats can be found through the forest
  • nature trail (2k, 1hr) north up creek through Grey Gums (E. cypellocarpa)
  • dogs on leash
  • BYO water and firewood (if permitted)
