Introduction
- these are accessed from the Cumberland River holiday park which is in a lovely setting
- do not do this walk if river levels are high!
- the 1st half of this walk is an easy lovely walk to Jebb's Pool - with 1-2 river crossings (you don't have to do the 2nd one to see the cascades)
- the 2nd half of this walk is NOT recommended unless you are adventurous and prepared
- as of Nov 2025, the path is overgrown with stinging nettles and 4-5 foot high ferns are other vegetation which hide the nettles and the possible tiger snake - so where adequate leg and foot protection
- you will need to do the last 3 of the 4 river crossings (and again when you come back) and this can be slippery with a bit of current, one is also not clearly marked as to where the track is on the other side as the entrance to it is overgrown and there are no signs
- finally this walk requires a fair amount of boulder clambering
- if all goes to plan the full walk is about 2hrs return
Some pics from 2025
1st river crossing in Nov.
Jebb's Pool after the second river crossing which is at Jebb's Pool
3rd river crossing bit narrower hit and with more current
Sign post to the over grown narrow Garvey Track
4th river crossing and one that is unmarked and difficult to see where to exit on the other side
A fly fishermen trying his luck
After much rock scrambling, you get to sit on a large boulder and relax in front of the Cumberland Falls
