following the popularity of the Micro Four Thirds system, in 2009, Samsung entered the mirrorless camera systems market with their NX camera system based upon an APS-C sized sensor - the same size as Sony NEX E-mount camera system and thus has the same problem in requiring substantially larger lenses than the Micro Four Thirds system system and thus like Sony, misses the whole point of designing compact mirrorless cameras.
as with Sony, there is a very limited range of AF lenses designed for this system available despite it being in the market place for over 5 years now.
the NX sensor is 1.5x crop factor and lens mount has a flange distance of 25.5mm

video:
H.265 codec for smaller sizes (1/10th that of ProRes size), at up to 70Mbit/s 4:2:0, but issues at high ISO of 3200 or more and the codec is not widely supported yet - you need to buy software such as Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate
clean uncompressed 4K HDMI output at 8 bit 4:2:2 (not 10bit as with GH4)
1080/120fps slow-mo quality is improvement over GH4’s 96fps
PAL / NTSC switchable - 4K at 30,25,24p as well as 1080/60/50p
no rear buttons and only one dial on the rear - essentially nearly everything must be done via the touch screen - the ONLY physical controls are a flash pop-up button, diopter control, power button, rear dial, record button, and shutter button - the nice virtual controls are NOT available when using the EVF!
no DOF preview button;
MicroSD card slot
495g; 137 x 101 x 26 mm (5.39 x 3.98 x 1.02″) (considerably larger than the NX-20)
not designed for serious photographers!
Samsung has again shown that it is more interested in electronic gadgetry than addressing the serious photographer's needs
