• announced in Jan 2012, this 16mp full frame dSLR designed for sports photographers and to compete with the Canon 1D X sports dSLR gives burst rates of 9-11fps
• very nice 1080p HD video in 2.7x crop mode
• unfortunately the full frame 1080p HD video resolution is terrible
  • the Nikon D800 dSLR has much better 1080p HD video resolution than either the Nikon D4 or Canon 5D Mark III dSLR - both of which seem to have 720p resolution for their full frame 1080p HD video mode, although the D4 does have true 1080p resolution when used in 2.7x crop mode.¹⁾
