introduction
Canon FD lenses are manual focus lenses designed for Canon film SLRs before they changed to an AF-based EOS system in the late 1980's.
the mount is a breech-lock and was updated to “new FD mount” which has a rotating barrel locking mechanism to make it less fiddly.
They cannot be used on Canon EOS dSLRs (other than for macro work) unless an optical lens adapter is used to allow infinity focus.
their main use now is on
